Genotypes- genes of an organism; for one specific trait
homogyzous- same alleles
heterozygous- different alleles
In the notes it talked about punnet squares. An example would be two little letters, like "rr". It shows combinations of gametes.
The capital letters to represent dominant alleles and lower case letters are recessive. Genotypes of each parent are shown to help predict the genotypes of us that are possible.
Assignment- go through steps one and two and summarize them.
Step 1 Summary- In Step 1, it talked about that you need to determine the genotypes of the parent organisms. It talked about understanding the heterozygous and homozygous. Heterozygous means different or hybrid and homozygous means the same. It also gave an example about hamsters. They said if a hamster mated with another hamster and tried to figured out what color it was when the mother is brown and the father is white. Step 2 talked about to write
cross or mating, and to write the genotypes of the parents in the form of letters like dominant or recessive.

Ellis Island is mostly known for the history of immigrants. Ellis Island was a way for immigrants to get through to the country. Back then it had two immigration unloading docks. Ellis island was used to show the arts including film, literature and music. It's located in the Hudson River, off of the New York City Harbor. Most of the island is actually within Jersey City, New Jersey. It's located where it is because back then before immigrants could step foot on U.S ground, they would have to get checked for diseases. From 1892 to 1954, Ellis Island recieved twelve million immigrants.Peoplet hought that some push factors would be Land scare in home country, political and rekligious persecution, revolutions, and poverty. During spring break, I didn't do anything really. I went out with my brother and went out to eat. We went to Huddle House, Jacks, and Sonic. I also went to Six Flags. We were there the whole day. I rode the Dare Devil, Superman, Batman, Goliath, the Acrophobia, the Mindbender, and The Great American Scream Machine. I got a airbrushed tattoo. I met new people there, It was really nice. My Spring Break was good.

Pick a celebrity that you find to have "Perfect Genetics". Then predict what your offspring would look like. You must have ten characteristics and find a picture of what you think they would like.
